A team of internationally renowned heart specialists has been recruited from some of the most prestigious University Hospitals to form a unique Heart-Team at the Isar Medical center. Interdisciplinary Heart-Team

Cardiovascular medicine used to be subdivided in several disciplines operating usually separately in different departments. The Heart Team at IHC has been built to overcome these limitations. Cardiologists, cardio-radiologists, cardio-anesthesiologisty and heart surgeons work together in a heart-team putting togehter their strength to diagnose, prevent and treat cardiovascular disease at any stage. Therefore, the heads of IHC-sections have a broad background covering more than one discipline. Heart-surgeons are involved in early stages of planning or even do interventions, cardiologists with interventional background read images etc.. We do not only talk about a heart team: this is how we form an interdisciplinary heart team.
